So I know that those who wish write a book want to know where to start. They want to ask another author how they do it. I have been tempted myself to do the same thing at times. Sometimes I just wanted to give and forget about my dream to write.
I started doing online research trying to find other people who give advice on how to write. It all discouraged me even more. I didn't know if I was going to finish my first book and get it to where it is today.
Nonetheless I kept writing. I could give my tips on how to write, which I will, but the best advice I can give is write the way you want to. I have no pointers for other inspiring authors. I have no way to inspire, unless reading what I wrote inspires you.
My tips on how I write is when an idea comes to me I write it down. Everything that is there I write it down on paper. As for writing the story. I start at the beginning. With "The Dark of Night" I started with the beginning, exactly what the beginning of the book starts out as, but it was then chapter one. I think when I was on either chapter 2 or 3 is when the ending popped into my head. At that moment it wasn't the end. I was still trying to figure out where to put it. It took a few days to figure out where it should go. When it finally got it spot in the book I could finally go on to finished writing.
Apparently it isn't going to be the last time I write a book that. When I started the 2nd I got the ending as well. It actually helps me get the beginning to the end. It helps me know where I need to get to. There is still a lot of work in between. One I have a beginning and an end I find it so much easier to figure out how to get everything in between.
As for other tips. I have none. I only have what it is I do. It may not be perfect, even in the end. These are my ideas and not everyone will like them. It may not be how you write. Just put it on paper, or on computer, whichever is the way you write.
My advice to you is write how you want to. It is the only advice I can give that will be the most helpfully.
Thank you!
